Hello, everyone! Happy New Year! I hope that your 2018 has been good so far. Mine has been pretty interesting. I say this all the time, but I have been so busy lately. I’ve had a hard time keeping up, but life is moving on with or without me. I have a little update on the current status of our project! I have made a few diy slip leads! I will make a video if I get more parachute cord, and if that doesn’t happen, I will post a link to the video that I used to make them. They were super easy! The only twist I had on the original style was that I braided the cord and I plan on adding some padding around the neck so that dogs that are not leash trained that pull a lot on the lead can be more comfortable wearing it. This way, the parachute cord doesn’t hurt the dog’s neck. I also plan on adding the same type of padding on the handle to that the human isn’t hurt if the dog pulls a lot.
Alright, now to cut to the chase. Surely, most of you are making new year’s resolutions. I have decided to make a resolution for this project. I am hoping that it will give me the motivation to continue working hard on this so that we can possibly have a successful event at the end of the project. My resolution is that, with this project, I will put more effort towards contacting the 5A’s shelter and preparing donations for them. I hope that having this as a goal will help me achieve success with this project. ‘Till next time!
