Hello again, everyone! I’m back with another post. This week, I will be addressing how to get the word out about our project. We have decided to reach out to our target shelter and donate items like toys and leads. We called them about volunteering, but, sadly, we have to be eighteen or older to volunteer, and we aren’t quite there. We have put a date on the calendar to go shopping to gather materials to donate. Now that we have this on the calendar, it will be easier to work with our project. Like I stated in a previous post, we have had a very hard time working times to meet up into our busy schedules. I am hoping that now that we have this, we have figured out that we just need to put things on our calendars and don’t let anything move it. I am very excited to continue working with this project, even with the major setback of not being able to volunteer. That’s all I have for today!

Hello, everyone! Happy New Year! I hope that your 2018 has been good so far. Mine has been pretty interesting. I say this all the time, but I have been so busy lately. I’ve had a hard time keeping up, but life is moving on with or without me. I have a little update on the current status of our project! I have made a few diy slip leads! I will make a video if I get more parachute cord, and if that doesn’t happen, I will post a link to the video that I used to make them. They were super easy! The only twist I had on the original style was that I braided the cord and I plan on adding some padding around the neck so that dogs that are not leash trained that pull a lot on the lead can be more comfortable wearing it. This way, the parachute cord doesn’t hurt the dog’s neck. I also plan on adding the same type of padding on the handle to that the human isn’t hurt if the dog pulls a lot.
Alright, now to cut to the chase. Surely, most of you are making new year’s resolutions. I have decided to make a resolution for this project. I am hoping that it will give me the motivation to continue working hard on this so that we can possibly have a successful event at the end of the project. My resolution is that, with this project, I will put more effort towards contacting the 5A’s shelter and preparing donations for them. I hope that having this as a goal will help me achieve success with this project. ‘Till next time! |
